WELCOME TO DOO_ACTIVITIES
June 13th, 2021 was an an extremely traumatic experience! Our son Omari Daniels at the young age of two years old, fell from the fourth floor window of the Alice Griffith building located in the San Francisco Bayview district. From the chaotic rubble of this horrific situation came a powerhouse foundation, Doo Da Activities. We knew from the moment our son walked out of the hospital that his story had just begun. In a way it was our origin story! Having a platform to bring awareness to safety is one thing but to unite families and equip them with life tools is essential too growing our communities. Connecting the communities is vital to our organization and to the success of our future.
The BABY
Doo_Da Activities is committed to empowering youth, supporting parents, and uniting our communities throughout San Francisco, CA. As a response to the pandemic, we saw a need for kids to get outdoors and have physical activity with their peers. Furthermore, we saw with many youth, that shelter in place left them in isolation, stifled their social and communication skills, and often times negatively impacted their mental health.
The Building
Through Doo_Da Activities we offer programs to address these needs and more for youth ages 4 - 18. We offer multiple programs that promotes physical health, connects youth and their families with local resources, and empower youth by providing tools and resources for a healthy mind.
